SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana softball team garnered four individuals on the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) to the 2023 Academic All-District Team.

Delaney Young earned their spots thanks to their GPA and talents on the field.
Gracey Brink
The Rapid City, South Dakota, native batted .352 for Augustana with nine home runs and 10 doubles. She totaled 58 hits while holding a .600 slugging percentage. She holds a 3.95 GPA in exercise science. She earned NFCA All-Region accolades following the season.
Kennedy Buckman
The NSIC leader in home runs, the New Prague, Minnesota, native ended the regular season ranked No. 3 in the nation with her 20 long balls. She batted .346 with 62 RBI. Majoring in elementary education, Buckman carries a 3.53 GPA. She earned NFCA All-Region accolades after a First Team All-NSIC season.
Liz Dierks
The Sioux Falls, South Dakota, native batted .357 with 51 hits in her first year of consistent action for the Vikings as the starting shortstop. She led Augustana with eight stolen bases. She holds a 4.0 GPA while majoring in biology. She earned First Team All-NSIC honors following the season.
Delaney Young
The fifth-year senior concluded her career as Augustana's all-time fielding percentage leader while batting .412 on the season. Hailing from Cottage Grove, Minnesota, recorded 18 doubles and eight home runs. In addition, she struck out just five times in her senior campaign. Earning her degree business administration, Young holds a 3.87 GPA. She earned First Team All-NSIC and NFCA All-Region honors following the season.
The 2023 Academic All‐District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student‐ athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second and third‐team Academic All‐ America® honorees will be announced June 6. The CSC Academic All‐District® teams include the student‐athletes listed on the following pages.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All‐America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022‐23 Divisions II and III Academic All‐ America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All‐America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
