Miller Named ABCA/Rawlings All-American Honoree

CARY, N.C. – Following the opening banquet of the NCAA Division II College World Series, Augustana's Seth Miller was named to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-America Second Team.
 
Miller is expected to be Augustana's starter Sunday night in the opening game at the NCAA Championship site as Augustana faces the defending national champion North Greenville. Full game preview here. 
 
Hailing from Blaine, Minnesota, had a standout senior campaign in 2023 while holding an 11-1 record with a 2.96 ERA. Having tossed 94.1 innings on the year, he has struck out 92 batters.
 
He was the pitcher on the mound to close the game as Augustana took down No. 4 Central Missouri to advance to the NCAA Central Super Regional and then followed with a complete game effort in game two of the super regional. His 11 wins are the second most in a season for Augustana.
 
For his career, he has recorded 24 wins, sitting one shy of tying the school record for the most in a career while holding the career record for innings pitched with 241. In addition to his impressive win total, he ranks in the top-10 all-time with seven saves.
 
The ABCA/Rawlings All-America teams are selected by members of the ABCA All-America committees. ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections, which were announced Wednesday, were nominated for All-America honors.
 
The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.
 
Founded in 1945, the American Baseball Coaches Association is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 15,000 members represent all 50 states and 40 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include nine divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School, Youth and Travel.
