SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana head hockey coach
Garrett Raboin has announced the addition of Brad Amundson and Jacob Snuggerud as members of the support staff. Amundson will serve as the director of hockey operations while Snuggerud will be the Vikings' equipment manager.
Amundson, a 2023 graduate of the University of Minnesota, spent the past four years working with the Gopher men's hockey team, earning the title of assistant director of hockey operations.
Amundson assisted the Gophers with pre-scout video, in-game tagging, time-on-ice and other statistical measures for the coaching staff. In addition, he conducted video analysis with HUDL and XOS Catapult Thunder. Off the ice, he helped organize daily operations such as travel itineraries, budget management and pre-game meals. He earned his degree in finance and accounting, twice finding himself on the dean's list.
Snuggerud, a 2020 graduate of Bemidji State, has US Hockey Development Camp, NCAA Division I and USHL equipment managing experience. Most recently, he served as the equipment manager at Minnesota Duluth for the women's program. He served in the same capacity for the Wisconsin women's program in 2021-22 while adding assistant director of operations to his title.
He began his experience as a student equipment manager at Bemidji State and moved directly to the USHL's Dubuque Fighting Saints in 2020-21. He has served as the equipment manager for the United States Hockey Development Camps since 2019. Snuggerud earned his bachelor of arts in sports management with a. minor in human performance.
