SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 101st season of Augustana football gets underway Saturday with the gameday experience highlighting the event. New in 2023 is JJ's Party Deck, a VIP experience.
Located in the northeast corner of Kirkeby-Over Stadium, JJ's Party Deck allows for up to 20 of your closest friends, family members or clients to enjoy Augustana football like never before. The indoor/outdoor VIP space offers a panorama viewing window, an air-conditioned or heated interior, a top deck veranda, high-definition television and your own VIP space on the grass berm surrounding the suite. To inquire about reserving the space, contact Jordon Boe at jordon.boe@augie.edu or by calling 605-274-5203.
JJ's Beer Garden returns for a safe gameday experience that allows alcohol consumption throughout much of Kirkeby-Over Stadium. A single point of sale will remain in the beer garden, located in the southeast corner of the stadium, where fans will then be able to bring their beverage back to their seats.
Alcohol-free zones will exist throughout the stadium, notably sections 107, 108, 109, the northwest grass berm and section 202 on the visitor sidelines. A map of the alcohol-free zones can be found here.
Entrance into JJ's Beer Garden will remain the same as last season, while JJ's Wine, Spirits and Cigars will continue to manage the beer garden including using its professionally trained staff to ID and wristband those that are 21 and over. The serving area will close at the conclusion of the third quarter.
More on the Augustana Alcohol Policy can be found here.
The gameday experience will continue to be second-to-none at Kirkeby-Over Stadium, beginning with entering the stadium with the digital-first ticketing system. Fans who purchase tickets ahead of the game at GoAugie.com/Tickets will receive their tickets digitally. From there, fans have the opportunity to present their tickets on their smartphones or print their tickets at home. Single game tickets purchased at the ticket window can have their tickets printed, texted or emailed at the time of purchase.
Â
The GoAugie mobile app, presented by The Original Pancake House, provides the easiest and most convenient way for fans to purchase tickets. The app also features quick access to event schedules, rosters and team information, customizable push notifications, live and archived video, and more. The free app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Â
On gamedays, parking lots open at 8 a.m., including the First PREMIER Tailgate (west) lot. Parking is free to A-Club members with their passes (if applicable), and only $10 per spot for the public.
Â
Augieville, the site for all pregame festivities, gets underway at 11:30 a.m., with appearances by the Viking Marching Band and Augustana Spirit Squads as well as the A-Club Tailgate sponsored by the South Dakota Beef Logic. A-Club members will receive a free meal with their Viking Pass at the A-Club Tailgate and fans who are not A-Club members can purchase that same meal for $10.
Â
In addition, Augustana students have a space in Augieville designated specifically for them to create their own tailgate, led by student support organization SKOL. Augieville is located north and west of Kirkeby-Over Stadium on the practice football field.
Â
The Viking Marching Band will treat fans to pregame and halftime performances alongside the sounds of the atmosphere of a college football game coming from the band.

New in 2023, while aligning with national security standards, Augustana University will implement a new re-entry policy for Augustana football, basketball and hockey ticketed events.
Fans will not be able to leave Kirkeby-Over Stadium, the Sanford Pentagon, or Midco Arena and return using a previously scanned ticket.Â
- Kirkeby-Over Stadium / Sanford Pentagon / Midco Arena: Once a spectator has entered the facility, they will not be permitted to exit the facility and re-enter using the same ticket. A new ticket must be purchased (based on availability) or they must have an unscanned ticket to re-enter.Â
- Elmen Center / Morstad Field / Bowden Field / Ronken Field: Once a spectator has entered any of these facilities, they should see a ticket representative for a hand stamp to re-enter the facility.
Augustana Athletics ticket windows will be open until the start of the 2nd half (football and basketball) or the start of the 3rd period (hockey).
All home games kick off at 1 p.m., with parking lots opening at 8 a.m. each Saturday and Augieville activities underway at 11:30 a.m. For more information on Augustana Football and 2023 events and promotions, stay tuned to GoAugie.com and follow @GoAugie on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
