HAYS, Kan. – Augustana soccer battled Fort Hays State Sunday afternoon to finish out their weekend road trip, as both teams played to a final score of 0-0. 

After an offensive-filled first half, where the game saw both teams create scoring opportunities, the game was decided by stout goalkeeping from both sides as Jillian Barkus recorded three saves for AU. 

Augustana soccer head coach Brandon Barkus played a total of 22 Vikings throughout 90 minutes of play, Madelyn White and Sierra Barkus were notable players off the bench, as they recorded shots. 

J. Barkus recorded her third clean sheet this season as she moved to a 2-1-1 record through four games.

CHANCE (FHSU) 5' - The Tigers opened up the game with the first scoring opportunity, as Montserrat Diaz fired a shot in before J. Barkus made her first save of the day. 

CHANCE (AU) 8' - Momentum shifted in favor of the Vikings as Sydney Hage ripped in AU's first shot of the game, FHSU's keeper stood tall, making the save in the bottom left of the net. 

CHANCE (AU) 14' - Lily Petersen continued Augustana's offensive presence, as she recorded her first shot on goal. 

CHANCE (FHSU) 20' - The offensive pressure shifted in favor of the Tigers as it fired in a shot on goal but J. Barkus stood strong, as she made the save to keep things square. 

CHANCE (AU) 73' - Madelyn White fired in her first shot on goal after being subbed in five minutes earlier, but the Tigers' keeper stayed strong, as she stretched out for the save. 

CHANCE (FHSU) 79' - J.Barkus came up with a big save in the final 11 minutes of play, as she halted a scoring opportunity for the Tigers.
