Viking Soccer Ready to Host Alumni Weekend on Morstad Field

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana soccer is prepped and ready for a pair of conference matchups on Friday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. against UMary and Minot State as it hosts Alumni Weekend. 

The Marauders
UMary (2-4-2, 1-2-1) will look to lean on MaLiah Burke and Mo Malone as they lead the team with three points apiece. Olivia Gardner will look to join the duo in helping power past the Vikings as she recorded 23 shots this season. 

UMary has grabbed wins against Minnesota State Moorehead and Southwest Minnesota State.

The Beavers 
MSU (4-3-1, 1-2-1) Yossi Villagrana leads Minot with a total of four points by way of two goals and 10 shots. Illiana Rivera joins the offensive momentum with one goal and one assist and three points. 

Minot has secured wins over Minnesota Crookston, Montana State Billings, Black Hills State, and UMary. 

The Vikings
AU (3-3-2, 1-2-1) are coming off a 2-1 loss to St. Cloud State where freshman forward Madelyn White netted her first career goal. White recorded five shots in Sunday's affair. 

Augustana has been propelled offensively by a slew of student-athletes as Hope Korte leads the team with three goals, 11 shots and six points. Korte also ranks first in the conference with two game-winning goals. 

Paige Bracker, Shea Ellender, and White have all found the back of the woodwork this season to help propel the offense. 

Jillian Barkus has been off to a tear in her senior season as she has recorded four clean sheets this season, good for 13th in the nation. 

The Vikings also rank 11th in the nation and first in the conference in shot accuracy, hitting the net 62 percent of the time.
