SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 15 Augustana soccer hits the road for a pair of away matches as they are set to face Northwest Missouri State, Friday, at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. against Fort Hays State.

The Bearcats
Northwest Missouri State (0-1-1) are led by head coach Marc Gordon, who enters his sixth season at the helm. Gordon holds a career record of 34-37-7 with the Bearcats, making the NCAA Tournament in 2021 and 2022. 

Picked to finish third in the 2023 MIAA preseason poll, the Bearcats are captained by Grace Wineinger, Kaylie Rock and Sydney Mueller. Rock netted six goals and 13 assists in the 2022 campaign and has opened up the season with two goals in two games.

Senior keeper Isabel Robben recorded her 12th career clean sheet in last Sunday's win.

AU went 2-0 to open up the season, defeating then No. 13 Central Missouri 1-0. They carried their weekend momentum into Sunday, beating Rogers State 1-0. 

NSIC Offensive Player of the Week Hope Korte led the way for the Vikings, netting her first career goal in Friday's match. Korte continued her hot weekend by scoring the game-winner in Sunday's affair.

Jillian Barkus stood tall between the pipes, earning back-to-back clean sheets en route to being named NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week. Barkus now holds a career record of 27-11-4.
