MARYVILLE, Mo. – Augustana Soccer were downed by Northwest Missouri State by a score of 2-1, Friday night. 

After a quiet first half, NWMSU opened up the second half with a goal in the 50th minute. Redshirt Freshman Paige Bracker netted her first career goal with a shot low left. Play continued as the Bearcats' had the final say, as it scored the final dagger in the 68th minute. 

Four Vikings recorded shots throughout 90 minutes of play with Bracker and Lily Petersen found shots on goal. 

Jillian Barkus stood tall as she stopped a total of four shots. AU faced a total of 19 shots.

CHANCE (NWMSU) 5' - The Bearcats got off to a hot start with a scoring chance in the first five minutes of play, as Ximena Arnau fired one low left before J. Barkus laid out for the save. 

CHANCE (AU) 34'-42' - Sierra Barkus opened up the Vikings offense with back-to-back scoring chances, as she fired both shots just high above the net. 

GOAL (NWMSU) 50' - Northwest Missouri State found the back of the net first as Arnau fired in a shot low and to the left. 

GOAL (AU) 51' - Bracker answered quickly for the Vikings', as she scored her first career goal. 

GOAL (NWMSU) 58' - The Bearcats answered the call with a goal from Adell Gore, as she fired one past J. Barkus. 

CHANCE (AU) 68' - Mackenzie Ternes looked to square the game with a shot left but just missed the netting.
