Zack Rose recorded his second shutout in his last two starts.
Owen Bohn potted the game-winning goal in the early part of the third period.
Augustana opened up Saturday night in an offensive way as it recorded multiple shots in the opening minutes of play to set the pace of play in its favor. The Vikings went on an early power play opportunity and peppered Jared Whale with shots. Whale shut the door on Augustana's early period special team opportunity as helped push the Seawolves momentum in their favor. In the final 10 minutes of play in the first period, UAA answered back with shots of its own but
Zack Rose stood tall.
The second period moved on as both teams played sound even strength hockey backed by strong goaltending as the score remained 0-0 after 40 minutes of play.
Augustana found the gas pedal in the third period as
Owen Bohn opened up the scoring with his sixth of the season from the corner as he rifled the puck towards the net and deflected off a Seawolves defender to find the back of the net. The Vikings pushed their momentum with a goal 40 seconds later as
Ryan Naumovski slotted in his eighth of the season from the slot.
In an attempt to push the game back in the Seawolves' favor, they pulled Whale with just over three minutes remaining in the final frame but
Quinn Rudrud sealed the Vikings' 3-0 win with an empty-net goal for his fifth of the season.
