SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The No. 13 Augustana acrobatics and tumbling team will open its home campaign against Concordia (Wis.) in the Elemen Center on Monday. The Vikings and Falcons will compete at 6 p.m. 
 
This is the third meeting between the  Falcons and Vikings, having competed twice in AU's inaugural season with the Vikings sweeping the series.

About the Falcons
The CWU Falcons are 1-1 with a season-opening win over Adrian College 214.435 - 86.475. They followed with a loss to Trine University, 219.500 - 237.725, this past weekend. During the competition against Trine, the Falcons scored 9.30 points in the compulsory toss heat and  70.95 points in the team event for season-high scores. 
 
About the Vikings
Augustana defeated Saint Leo University in its season opener, 256.430-251.190, to give the Vikings their first season-opening win. During the competition, the team took four events and 14 heats. 
 
AU scored 28.650 in the acro event, a program record for the Vikings in the event. Augustana went on to score 28.400 points in the pyramid, 26.500 points in the toss and 51.700 points in the tumbling event. 
 
One Last Thing
Augustana and Concordia (Wisc.) have a history despite the short existence of Augustana's program. The Vikings first-ever win came on the home mat of the Falcons on Feb. 19, 2023, by a score of 261.805-239.940. In a return trip to Sioux Falls, Augustana again defeated CUW 266.765-243.040.
