Isaac Fink poured in 35 points, while
Caden Kirkman added a career-high 19 to help push the Augustana men's basketball team to a 92-87 victory over Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday night inside the Elmen Center.
Fink knocked down four 3-pointers and tied for a team-high with six rebounds to help set the offensive tempo for the Vikings. Kirkman was efficient from the field, knocking down 9 of 13 shots and grabbed six rebounds of his own.
Arhman Lewis scored 13 points, including 11 in the first half, and added six rebounds and five assists.
Jadan Graves lit it up from deep in the second half, battling early foul trouble to finish with 12 points on four second half 3-pointers.
The Vikings (14-8 overall, 9-7 NSIC) shot 48.6 percent (35 of 72) from the field overall and 52.6 percent (20 of 38) in the second half, all while knocking down 40.7 percent (11 of 27) from deep on the night. They also dominated down low, outscoring CSP (9-14 overall, 4-13 NSIC) 42-24 in the paint and 19-12 on second chance points. The game was tight throughout, seeing eight ties and 16 lead changes.
The Vikings scored the first 10 points in 2:31 of game action to open a high-paced first half. Lewis scored five in the stretch, while Kirkman added a layup and Fink drilled a 3-pointer. The Golden Bears marched back, tying the game at 12-12 before seeing ties at 16, 18, and 21.
CSP leaked ahead by six but Kirkman willed the Vikings back with five straight points, getting within 31-30 with 6:51 left in the quarter. With the Golden Bears leading 37-32, Kirkman and Fink each scored four points in an 8-0 run to put AU back in front 40-37 with 2:07 left in the half.

Caden Hinker knocked down a free throw to go up two. The Golden Bears went on to hit a 3-pointer with just under a minute to play to take a 44-43 lead into the locker room.
AU had three in double figures in the first half, led by 14 from Fink. Kirkman and Lewis each followed with 11 points while shooting a combined 9 for 14.
A Fink layup and Graves 3-pointer sandwiched a three from CSP to give AU a 48-47 lead after 1:32 of second half action. After the Golden Bears reclaimed a two point advantage, Fink took the lead right back with a three.
Akoi Akoi put AU in front 53-52 with 16:56 to play, but CSP was able to score nine straight points to take an eight point lead at the 13:48 mark. The Vikings would inch back within four with under nine minutes to go. Kirkman knocked down a jumper and Fink would hit a jumper and a 3-pointer on consecutive possessions to snag the lead back at 73-70 with 7:31 to play.
After an equalizing three from the Golden Bears, Graves followed with a three of his own to retake a three point lead. CSP got back within one, but Fink and Kirkman each scored a bucket to lead by five at 83-78 with 3:50 to go.
Back-and-forth we went from there, with the Vikings leading 87-84 at the 2:44 mark. Graves delivered after a CSP timeout, cashing in a 3-pointer with 2:22 left to go up 90-84. With 13 seconds left, Fink provided the dagger with a driving floater to close it out.
The Vikings travel to Winona for a Friday night match-up against Winona State, with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m.
