PALM DESERT, Calif. – Augustana women's golf jumped into the spring season with a first-place finish as it hosted its Spring Fling at the Desert Willow Golf Resort. The Vikings topped the leaderboard after being led by
Molly Stevens who finished 4-over-par over two days.

How it Happened
- Stevens was 4-over-par after rounds of 77 and 71. She tallied 148 strokes throughout the two-day tournament en route to claiming first place.
- Stevens first-place finish is her first of the year while leading the NSIC in stroke average. The senior led the field in par-3 and par-4 average, shooting 3.13 and 4.10 shots per hole, respectively.
- Shannon McCormick recorded rounds of 85 and 74 totalling a score of 159. McCormick shot 22 pars throughout the event, marking the fourth-most in the field.
- Lanie Veenendall and Masy Mock tied for 19th after 160 strokes each.
- Lauren Tims rounded out the event for the Vikings with a 25th-place finish after rounds of 86 and 77.
- Competing as individuals, Mattie Weidenbach placed in a tie for 29th while Annika Stensrud was 50th.
- Augustana led the field with 99 pars and ranked second with 17 birdies.
