ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Augustana softball team swept Minnesota Duluth on Friday by scores of 4-1 and 3-2. The Vikings are now 20-13 on the year and 5-1 in the NSIC. Minnesota Duluth, the team tabbed second in the preseason coaches' poll behind AU, is 19-10, 0-4.

Game One: Augustana 4, Minnesota Duluth 1
The Vikings scored four runs on five hits while aided by a home run by
Ashton Dorman for the victory.

Grace Glanzer picked up her ninth win of the season while tossing seven innings for the complete-game victory. She struck out nine batters in the victory.

Liz Dierks standing on second base in the third inning,
Desi Cuevas doubled down the right-field line to score Dierks.

The fourth inning saw
Gracey Brink cross home plate thanks to a
Stella Harber single. Brink scored from second base after doubling into center field.

A ground-rule double by UMD cut the Vikings' lead in half at 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth.

Leading off the sixth inning, Brink worked a walk. The next batter, Dorman, then connected on the ball and sent it flying out of the field of play over the left-center field fence for a 4-1 lead.

Of Augustana's five hits, all five came from different spots in the batting order.

Game Two: Augustana 3, Minnesota Duluth 2
Lexi Lander carried a perfect game into the seventh inning as the Vikings prevailed 3-2 over Minnesota Duluth.

The Vikings scored two quick runs in the first inning thanks to the first three batters reaching base.
Andrea Cain drew a walk and was promptly sent to third base on a ground-rule double by
Desi Cuevas. After
Kennedy Buckman was hit by a pitch,
Torri Chute singled up the middle to score Cain and Cuevas for the early 2-0 lead.

A third run was scored in the top of the fifth inning as Cuevas tripled down the left-field line to score
Hailey Houston. Houston was pinch running for
Stella Harber who had reached base on a single.

The Bulldogs ended the no-hit bid in the bottom of the seventh with a home run over the right-field fence. After UMD was able to scratch a second run across home plate, the final score settled at 3-2.

Lander tossed 6.1 innings of two-hit ball while striking out nine.
Ella Cooper pitched the final two outs to earn the save. Of Augustana's four hits, two came from Cuevas' bat.
