BEMIDJI, Minn. – Viking newcomer Kaiden Brovold walked away as the tournament champion with back-to-back rounds of 70 as Augustana men's golf finished the Bemidji State Invitational Tuesday afternoon in second place with a stroke count of 592.

How it Happened

• Brovold teed off his collegiate career in strong fashion as he putted his way to being named the individual champion with back-to-back rounds of 70 for a total stroke count of 140. He recorded nine birdies throughout the tournament.
• Will Allen finished in a tie for fourth with a total stroke count of 145 after a round one score of 69 and a round two score of 76. Allen dropped in six birdies, including five on the first day. 
• Jacob Stewart finished in a tie for 32nd with a total stroke count of 153. Throughout the two days, he scored six birdies. 
• Emmet Hansen finished in a tie for 37th after rounds of 78 and 76 for a total stroke count of 154. 
• Jackson Skuodas rounded out the Viking finishers with a total stroke count of 163 after rounds of 82 and 81.

Augustana men's golf takes the remainder of the week to prepare for the Maverick Fall Brawl held in Hudson, Wisconsin. The tournament begins on Monday, Sept. 16 and concludes on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
