Five different goal-scorers and a 28-save performance from Josh Kotai helped Augustana secure the win.

Friday's game opened up in a back-and-forth 20 minutes of action with both teams sharing equal chances on offense. An early penalty put Augustana on the penalty kill where the Vikings buckled down and kept the score even at 0-0. CC broke the deadlock with 2:14 remaining in the frame after Chase McLane fired the puck through traffic and past Kotai's pad. After 20 minutes of action, CC led in shots 10-3.
