BURNSVILLE, Minn. – In the midst of a dominant junior season, Maya Wente was recognized as a second-team all-conference honoree, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced on Wednesday.
 
Wente—a Canby, Minn., native—has recorded 296 kills so far this season with a .324 hitting percentage. She currently ranks 13th in the league in hitting percentage and is 11th in total kills while also sitting second in total blocks with 102 and sixth in total points at 362.
 
In her combined years as middle hitter at Augustana, Wente has totaled 844 kills and 322 blocks alongside a career hitting percentage of .313 and 1,053 total points.
 
She was also named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career on Nov. 3 following a dominant weekend against Minnesota Crookston and MSU Moorhead. She also earned an NSIC Defensive Player of the week honor earlier this season. 
 
Augustana will wrap up the regular season at home with Northern State on Friday and Jamestown on Saturday.
