BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Augustana football team earned 11 all-conference accolades, announced by the league office Thursday.
Augustana's five First Team All-NSIC members include two on offense, one on defense and two on special teams.
Stylz Blackmon | Offensive Line | Grain Valley, Missouri
Blackmon, a first-time All-NSIC selection, earns a first team honor after showing versatility and durability. The sophomore started all 11 games, three at center before shifting to left guard for eight. He blocked for one of the most efficient passing attacks in the country and a top-20 team in third down conversion percentage. He also helped pave the way for the second-best red zone offense in the country.
Isaiah Huber | Wide Receiver/Return Specialist | Rochester, Minnesota
Huber, a senior captain, is on the list twice, with first team accolades as both a receiver and return specialist. A second-team receiver a season ago, Huber ranked second in the NSIC South with 62 catches and was third with 738 receiving yards. In the return game, he led the South with 25.7 yards per kick return with his best return going for 71 yards. He had just 19 returns between punts and kickoffs due to his status as a feared return man.
Logan Leonard | Defensive Back | Minnetrista, Minnesota
The senior captain finds himself on an All-NSIC list for the second consecutive season and on the First Team for the first time after leading the conference and ranking fifth in the country with 15 passes defended, including two interceptions and 13 pass breakups. The captain was fourth on the team with 47 tackles and led the team with 38 solo stops. Leonard was a game-changer for the defense, forcing and recovering a key fumble on Sept. 13 against UMary.
Jake Pecina | Punter | Forney, Texas
The junior was named to the All-NSIC First Team for the third consecutive season, but his first as a punter. The two-way special teams weapon led the South with a 43.0 punt average, a number that was ninth in the country. A certified field flipper, Pecina stuck 16 punts inside the 20 and struck 13 punts for at least 50 yards. He also went 8 of 12 on field goals with an NSIC-long and school record 57-yarder against Wayne State Sept. 15.
On the second team, the Vikings totaled two players on offense and four on defense.
Corbin Wirkus | Offensive Line | Baltic, South Dakota
The second member of the offensive line to earn honors, Wirkus has made 11 starts, eight at left tackle and three at right tackle. The junior has played in 30 games during his Augustana career, protecting one of the most efficient passing attacks in the country and a top-20 team in third-down conversion percentage. He also helped pave the way for the second-best red zone offense in the country.
Klayton Sattler | Tight End | Tea, South Dakota
In his first year of action, the junior showed plenty of flashes in just seven games. Sattler caught 24 passes for 314 yards, fourth on the team, and tied for the team lead with six touchdowns. Prior to an injury on Sept. 27, Sattler had a stretch of three games combining for five touchdowns, including a five-catch, 95-yard and two touchdown performance against Winona State on that date.
TJ Murray | Defensive Back | Baltimore, Maryland
A starter in all 11 games, Murray planted his flag as an All-NSIC talent. The corner made 31 tackles and had a sack while recording a pivotal interception to end the first half against Sioux Falls on Oct. 4.
Jermaine Hampton Jr. | Defensive Back | Chicago, Illinois
Shutting down the other side of the field was Hampton. The sophomore recorded 19 tackles and recorded a sack while finishing second on the team with five pass breakups.
Gradee Sherman | Defensive Line | Viborg, South Dakota
A captain who appeared in all 11 games on the Vikings' defensive line, Sherman recorded a team-high 7.0 tackles for loss as part of his 26 total tackles. He was credited with four sacks and three pass breakups while also blocking a kick. Sherman also recorded his first career interception on Sept. 13 against UMary.
Zachary Richardson | Defensive Line | Canton, South Dakota
If there was a big play, Richardson was involved. He appeared in all 11 games on the Vikings' defensive line while clogging up the middle for opposing running backs. Richardson recorded 6.5 tackles for loss, including multiple fourth-down stops and 2.0 sacks while forcing two fumbles. Of his 36 tackles, 25 were solo and he also blocked a kick and broke up four passes.
