BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The Augustana hockey team downed Ferris State by a score of 4-2 on Friday night. Four different Vikings found the back of the net and rallied through the second and third periods to secure their sixth win of the season.
The Bulldogs opened up the scoring midway through the first period as Nic Belpedio walked the blue line before firing in a shot that was redirected by Josh Zary. Augustana buckled down throughout the remainder of the frame as it outshot Ferris State, 9-5. The Vikings went 0-1 on the man-advantage after Jack Mesic was hit with a two-minute minor for slashing.

Ben Troumbly, who skated the puck into the offensive zone and drop-passed the puck to Bulgakov for his fourth of the season from the top of the circle. Augustana's two-goal period put the Vikings up by a score of 2-1.
Early in the third period, Augustana's second-period momentum carried as
Max Chakrabarti dished the puck over to
Hunter Bischoff in the slot for his fourth of the season as he netted his own rebound from just outside the crease. Ferris State went on the man-advantage for the first time with 4:44 remaining in the period. On the penalty kill, Augustana buckled down and denied multiple chances from the Bulldogs. FSU pulled its netminder with two minutes remaining in the frame and applied offensive pressure, with the man-advantage, Gavin Best cut the Vikings' lead to one with 39.1 remaining. At the 24.2 mark,
Jacob Jastrzebski ripped a shot from the opposite blue line to score his second of the season and apply the final dagger as Augustana won, 4-2.
