SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana men's golf team announced the signing of three future Vikings for the 2025-26, announced by
Mike Krsnak Thursday afternoon.
"I am thrilled beyond belief to have this recruiting class. Our team is filled with hard-working student-athletes that I hope will contend for the NSIC Championship. Our future is very bright. SKOL Vikings!" said head coach

Derek Anderson | Tea, South Dakota | Tea
Anderson heads into his senior season with an impressive high school resume. In 2021, Anderson was a Class A Team Srare Champion. In 2023 he was a 2023 Individual Region and conference champion and helped his team to a state runner-up. During his season season, Anderson was an individual state AA runner-up. He was ranked fifth in the state with an average of 72.8.
Keeton Newborg | Tea, South Dakota | South Dakota
Newborg will transfer to Augustana in the fall of 2025 after spending a year at the University of South Dakota. During his high school career, his team finished second in the state, and he finished second in the region and third in the conference. In his junior season, Newborg was an individual state champion and set a school record.
Luke Olson | Pierre, South Dakota | TF Riggs
Olson joins the Vikings from TF Riggs High School, where he helped propel the team to the ESD conference championship. In that time, his team recorded the second-lowest team score in state history. On the individual side, Olson finished seventh at the state tournament while shooting an average stroke count of 75. He shot 4-under par at the Hillview Invite and 2-under par over the two-day state tournament.
