Troy Berg added three hits, four RBI and a walk while
Jack Hines went 2 for 3 with three RBI.
Nate Soelter, who entered for Hines during the game, went 2 for 2 with a walk and two runs scored.
Mariano Gomez allowed four runs in four innings while striking out eight in a no decision.
Kai Taylor threw a scoreless frame and

Harry Blum earned his first Augustana win after throwing the eighth, ninth and getting an out in the 10th and

The Vikings, serving as the road team, scored a pair of early runs to get the game rolling. Winterstein singled, stole second and third to open the game.
Kobe Eikmeier tripled to score him and then came in on a
Jack Hines groundout to give AU a 2-0 lead. The Roadrunners countered with a leadoff home run to cut their deficit in half.
In the second inning,
Joshua Koskie doubled and Schmelzle walked to get a pair on. Winterstein loaded the bases with a bunt single and Eikmeier lifted a sac fly before an RBI single from Hines gave them a 4-1 lead. That lead was erased in a three run bottom of the inning that tied the game 4-4 after two.
In the fourth,
Jake Lundquist singled, advanced on an error and stole third to lead off the inning. Winterstein singled again to drive Lundquist home and then scored on a Hines double to make it 6-4 Augustana.
Nate Soelter, who entered as a runner for Hines in the fourth, doubled down the left field line to score Winterstein in the sixth inning before MSUD scored two more in the bottom of the frame to cut the AU lead to 7-6.
In the top of the ninth,
Troy Berg delivered a two-run single and
Sam Siegel dropped a sac bunt to put the Vikings up four in a spot that looked to be the dagger. With two outs in the bottom of the inning, the Roadrunners scored four runs to even the game and send it to extra innings.
The Vikings recreated separation in the top of the 10th when
Ethan Cole scored on a wild pitch and Berg smacked a two-run double to right center, scoring Soelter and Winterstein and giving AU the lead at 13-10.
The Vikings return to action this weekend when they host Minnesota Crookston starting Friday at 3:30 p.m., at Ronken Field.
