SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana softball is hitting the road once again, this time down to Wayne, Neb. for a Wednesday afternoon doubleheader against the Wildcats with a 2 p.m. scheduled game time.

ABOUT THE WILDCATS
Wayne State is 23-14 and 8-5 on the year after sweeping Northern State (9-3 and 10-2) on Saturday and dropping to MSU Moorhead (4-1 and 1-0) on the road.
 
Jordyn Klein leads with a .346 batting average alongside her team-high 44 hits. Emilee Marth follows behind with a .339 average, 11 doubles and 23 RBI while Maddie Scobee has knocked out four homeruns. Taylor Coleman sits with 10 stolen bases and Leah Chance and Scobee have each drawn 13 walks.
 
In the circle, Kennadi Borngrebe holds a 12-6 record in 20 appearances. She's accrued 130 strikeouts through 101.0 innings pitched and currently maintains a 1.59 ERA. Samantha Felt is credited with five saves alongside her 2.13 ERA and .98 WHIP while Coleman has logged 69 strikeouts.

Augustana is 35-15 all-time against Wayne State and most recently took the 8-0 and 16-2 victories on home turf on April 17, 2024.
 
ABOUT THE VIKINGS
Following a weekend sweep of University of Mary and Minot State, Augustana heads into the week with a 31-9 overall record this season and a 13-3 conference showing.
 
Desi Cuevas holds a .381 batting average with 48 hits to go with her 31 RBI, 18 stolen bases and nine homeruns. Andrea Cain holds a slash line of .370/.490/.731 while adding in 44 hits, 25 RBI, 24 walks, 12 doubles and seven homers and Ashton Dorman is right behind with a .361 average, 32 RBI and 44 hits.
 
In 136.2 innings of work, Grace Glanzer has collected 151 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .201 batting average. She's 15-6 in her 21 appearances and maintains a 1.28 ERA—which leads the NSIC—and a .89 WHIP. Lexi Lander is 13-3 on the season in 19 appearances, striking out 93 batters in 90.0 innings with an ERA of 1.63 and opponent batting average of .211.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
Augustana will return to Sioux Falls for a four-doubleheader homestand across two weekends. The Vikings will face Minnesota-Crookston on Saturday, April 12 and Bemidji State on Sunday, April 13.
