SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana softball is set to take on the No. 1 seed in the Central Region, Central Oklahoma, in a best-of-three series in the Super Regional on Thursday and Friday. The winner of the series will secure a ticket to the DII College World Series in Chattanooga, Tennessee May 22-28.

Competition will formally begin with a 6 p.m. game on Thursday evening and will follow with a 2 p.m. game on Friday afternoon. An if-necessary game is set for 4:30 p.m.
ABOUT THE VIKINGS
Augustana swept its way through the NSIC Softball Tournament before adding in another three wins in the NCAA Central Region Tournament against Missouri Southern State and Southern Arkansas.
The Vikings played a combined 29 innings through their three games down in Arkansas as two went into multiple extra innings. Augustana now holds a 49-9 record overall this season and are currently on a 24-game winning streak.

Lexi Lander and
Desi Cuevas all recently earned NFCA All-Central Region honors with Glanzer on the First Team and Lander and Cuevas on the Second Team. The D2CCA All-Central Region teams were also announced, placing Glanzer and Cuevas on the First Team and Lander and
Stella Harber on the second team.
AU is one of the final 16 teams remaining in the nation and are looking for the program's eighth-ever berth to the College World Series.

Central Oklahoma enters the Super Regional with a 49-8 record this season after taking three straight wins in each of the MIAA Softball Championship and NCAA Central Region Tournament.
Terin Ritz holds a .422 batting average off 68 hits with 18 doubles, 18 homeruns and 75 RBI. She also holds a 1.45 ERA with a 21-3 record and 125 strikeouts across 155.2 innings pitched. Rylee Lemos leads with 19 stolen bases and Kennedy Clark has drawn 29 walks this season.
