LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Following another dominant season in the circle in the final year of her career,
Grace Glanzer secured her second straight NFCA All-America honor as she was named to the Second Team, officials announced Wednesday evening.
56 student athletes across 43 different institutions were elected to one of three National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II All-America teams.
Glanzer's honors comes on the heels of yet another 50-win season for the Vikings that was highlighted by NSIC Regular Season, NSIC Tournament and NCAA Central Region 2 titles with a trip to the NCAA Super Regional.
This is her second straight DII NFCA All-American recognition after previously being selected to the first teams of both the NFCA and D2CCA All-Central Region.
She started in 35 games and collected an overall record of 27-7 on the season. Glanzer accrued a 1.14 ERA over her 36 appearances and 232.2 innings pitched, pitching 27 complete games with 10 shutouts. She tallied a perfect game in the opening weekend of the season before proceeding to tally 244 strikeouts. Her efforts were again recognized with her second straight NSIC Pitcher of the Year award while earning First Team All-NSIC honors.
Glanzer's career comes to a close with a 54-12 overall record in her 71 appearances. She accumulated a .89 ERA, 25 shutouts, just 57 earned runs and 432 strikeouts in her 449.0 innings in the circle as a Viking.
