CLEVELAND - The Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) announced the 2024-25 recipients of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards. The Academic Achievement Awards, in its 18th year, is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level.
Augustana University led the NSIC with 225 total honorees, the sixth highest total in all of DII. The Vikings as a whole had quite an outstanding academic year. Leading the NSIC with 307 NSIC All-Academic, six Academic All-Americans, 1340 Academic All-District and had the Willis R. Kelly Scholar-Athlete Award for Academic Excellence winner.
"Our student-athletes had an outstanding year in the classroom in 2024-25," said Augustana Vice President for Athletics
Josh Morton. "Academic excellence is the core of who we are at Augustana and I continue to be so proud of our student-athletes in the classroom and in competition."
In order for a student-athlete to receive an Academic Achievement Award, the athletics director of the Division II institution must be a current dues-paying member of the D2ADA. They also must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
Historically, 190,032 total student-athletes have been recognized since the inception of the awards program.
