CROOKSTON, Minn. – The Augustana soccer team closed out the weekend with a 5-1 win over Minnesota Crookston with four different goal scores. The Vikings move to 4-0-1 on the season and 2-0 in NSIC play.
Audrey Parnell opened up the scoring in the first half with a goal at the 28th-minute mark to put the Vikings on top. UMC was dinged for a foul inside the box and gave AU a penalty kick that
Ally Hamski fired just under the top bar. The momentum continued for the Vikings as
Avery Heinz scored her first of the season.
UMC answered back in the early minutes of the second half, but Augustana remained in the driver's seat as
Grace Katter powered in her first career goal off a pass from
Avery Nelson. Katter continued her strong day with a final blow in the 87th minute as she finished off a setup from
Madelyn White and
Ella Weide.

GOAL (AU) 70' - Katter banged in her first career goal off a well-placed ball from
Avery Nelson.
Halle Miller garnered a secondary assist on the play.
GOAL (AU) 87' - Katter delivered the final blow with her second goal of the match off a bang-bang play from White and Weide.
