SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The No. 5 Viking acrobatics & tumbling team opened the 2026 campaign with a pair of wins in a tri-meet at Missouri State on Saturday evening. Officially, Augustana earned wins over both Presbyterian and host Missouri State.

- In the pyramid, AU tied for the fourth-highest total in program history after posting a 29.200, a score they have matched three other times. 
- Also earning a spot in the record books was the tumbling event, where the Vikings finished with 53.525 points, the fifth-highest total in history. 
- The team event score of 91.600 was also the highest season-opening team score in program history.
