BISMARCK, N.D. - The Augustana wrestling team finished the regular season in resounding fashion, earning a 39-4 win over No. 12 UMary on Saturday afternoon in the McDowell Activity Center.

Christian Olsen, again, got the Vikings rolling early with a stall point and escape in the second period and a third-period takedown to help him earn a 5-3 decision. The Marauders got on the board at 133 with a major decision. 

Luke Koenen picked up a huge victory at 141 pounds to get the Vikings back. Trailing 5-4 into the third, Koenen got an escape and a pair of takedowns, bringing him back to earn an 11-9 decision over No. 4-ranked Sean Solis. 

At 149 pounds, Nolan Ambrose flipped the script following a scoreless first period. Starting on bottom, he collected a reversal and then stuck his guy for a pin, bringing the AU lead to 12-6. At 157, Cael Larson got three first-period takedowns and another in the third on his way to a 13-5 major decision. 

The run continued at 165 pounds as Payton Handevidt earned a takedown and two escapes en route to a 5-4 decision. Coy Gunderson dominated at 174, getting six takedowns, two escapes, a bonus point and a riding point to finish off a tech fall, making it 24-4. 

Charlie Petit earned a major decision with three takedowns, an escape and a riding point at 184 pounds. Max Ramberg followed with six takedowns on his way to a second-period tech fall and Max Balow got a second-period pin to cap the afternoon. 

The Vikings now shift their focus to postseason action as they prepare for the Super Region V Tournament in Marshall, Minn. On Feb. 28.
