SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The No. 11 Augustana wrestling team blanked Southwest Minnesota State 47-0 on Friday night in the Elmen Center. 

Christian Olsen kicked things off at 125 pounds with a takedown and four nearfall points in the first period. He added an escape and reversal to keep a seven-point lead through two and closed the match with a takedown and riding point while allowing a takedown and escape to finish off a 14-7 decision. 

At 133 pounds, Braiden Kort fell behind 1-0 after allowing a second period escape. He fought back in the third by securing a riding point and getting an escape but two stall calls evened the match at 2-2, sending it to sudden victory. Kort overcame in the period, getting a takedown and tacking on two backpoints to finish off a sudden victory and doubling the lead to 6-0. 

Just one more match following 133 would enter the third period as the Vikings dominated. Luke Koenen started the bonus point run with six first-period takedowns and another in the second to finish a tech fall. Nolan Ambrose got a pin in just over a minute and Cael Larson added a tech fall with three takedowns and eight nearfall points in 2:12 to make it 22-0.

After the intermission, Handevidt kept it rolling with three takedowns before a pin in 2:53. At 174, Coy Gunderson picked up two takedowns and 11 nearfall points, cleaning up a 17-0 tech fall in 3:36. 

Charlie Petit had his most dominant dual appearance at 184. He recorded three takedowns and a two-point nearfall in the first period to take an 11-2 lead before closing the bout with an escape and two takedowns in the second period to finish off another AU tech fall. 

Max Ramberg was efficient at 197. He picked up a pair of takedowns and four nearfall points in the first period to leap ahead and had an escape, takedown and four nearfall points to finish off an 18-1 tech fall. To close the night, Jaret Peterson tallied a first period takedown and added a stall point to lead 4-0. He closed a major decision with an escape, takedown and riding point in the third to finish off the shutout.

The Vikings return to the mat for senior day tomorrow, taking on Parkside at 4 p.m., in the Elmen Center.
