SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Augustana split a pair of games against Drury on Tuesday at Thompson Field, falling 4-2 in the opener before responding with a 6-0 victory in the second game.

Alexis Cain recorded two hits, including a double and an RBI, while
Desi Cuevas also collected two hits to lead the Vikings at the plate.
Kierra Lubovich added an RBI single while Bailey Lee scored a run.
Augustana jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning. Cuevas singled to left and stole second before Lubovich lined an RBI single up the middle to bring her home and give the Vikings a 1-0 advantage.
Drury answered in the bottom of the third inning, capitalizing on a defensive miscue to tie the game at 1-1.
The Panthers took control in the fifth inning, using three hits to score three runs and move ahead 4-1.
The Vikings attempted a comeback in the seventh. Lee singled to start the rally and eventually scored when Cain doubled to left center to cut the deficit to 4-2. However, the rally stalled there as Drury held on for the win.
Josie Garcia pitched a complete game for Augustana, allowing four runs—only one earned—on four hits while striking out two.

Cain led the Vikings offensively with three hits and three RBI while
Stella Harber tallied two hits and an RBI.
Ella Cooper also drove in a run as Augustana totaled eight hits in the victory.
After a scoreless first inning, the Vikings struck in the second. Harber doubled down the right-field line and came around to score on a Cooper RBI single. Later in the inning, Cain doubled to left center to bring home another run and push the lead to 2-0.
Augustana broke the game open in the sixth inning with a four-run rally. With runners on base, Harber reached on a fielder's choice that allowed a run to score while a throwing error added another. Cain then delivered a two-RBI single up the middle to extend the lead to 6-0.
Helene Krage was dominant in the circle, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing just three hits and striking out four.
