SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana rolled to a doubleheader sweep of MSU Moorhead on Saturday at Bowden Field, earning NSIC victories of 7-4 and 10-1.

Andrea Cain and
Claire Wynja each collected two hits while combining for three RBI's to lead Augustana to the opening-game win.
Kierra Lubovich added two hits and two RBI while
Sidney Smart and
Norah Christiansen each drove in a run.
The Vikings answered an early Moorhead run with a two-run first inning. Wynja doubled to put two in scoring position before Lubovich and Christiansen delivered an RBI to give AU a 2-1 lead.
Augustana broke the game open in the second, plating three runs on consecutive extra-base hits. Wynja and Lubovich each doubled in runs before Smart added an RBI single to extend the lead to 5-1.
The Vikings continued to add on in the third as
Stella Harber and
Susie Tollefson set the table before Cain delivered a two-run single up the middle, pushing the advantage to 7-1.
MSU Moorhead chipped away with single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, but the Vikings' pitching staff held firm.
Jaelyn Garcia earned the win, allowing four runs (three earned) over 5.1 innings, while
Teya Speltz closed the door with 1.2 scoreless innings to earn the save.

Augustana erupted for nine runs across the second and third innings to secure a run-rule victory in game two.
Sidney Smart and
Norah Christiansen led the charge as Smart tripled twice and scored twice while Christiansen went 3-for-3 with three RBI, including a two-run home run.
Susie Tollefson added four RBI on two hits while
Kierra Lubovich homered as part of a 13-hit attack.
After a scoreless first inning, the Vikings broke through in the second. Smart opened the frame with a triple before Christiansen launched a two-run homer. Later in the inning, Tollefson delivered a two-run single and
Desi Cuevas added an RBI groundout to cap a five-run frame.
Augustana continued the momentum in the third inning, scoring four more runs. Smart tripled again and Christiansen followed with an RBI single before Tollefson doubled home two runs and Cuevas added another RBI single to make it 9-1.
Lubovich added a solo home run in the fourth to push the lead to 10-1 and complete the scoring.
Helene Krage earned the win in the circle, tossing a complete-game five-inning effort, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out four.
