MANKATO, Minn. - The Augustana baseball team dropped a non-conference matchup with Minnesota State on Thursday afternoon, losing 4-0 at Bowyer Field.

The Mavericks scored a run in the first and three runs in the fifth. The Vikings loaded the bases in the seventh but could not score a run but broke the shutout in the ninth with a bases-loaded walk to bring the game to its final score.
Ragan Pinnow had three of six Viking hits while stealing a base.
Jake Lundquist and
Carter Heinsch also recorded a hit apiece while
Carter Heinsch drew two walks and delivered a hit.
Drew Ball threw 4 1/3 innings allowing four runs on eight hits while striking out a pair.
Jadon Bast threw 2 2/3 innings, allowing just two hits and striking out a pair without giving up a run and
Jack Sutton threw a scoreless frame to finish it.
Augustana won't retake the field until April 22, hosting Concordia-St. Paul for a doubleheader at Ronken Field.
