Acrobatics & Tumbling Sees Season Come To A Close In NCATA Championship Quarterfinals

AZUSA, Calif. – The No. 5 Viking acrobatics & tumbling team saw its team season come to a close on Thursday night, falling 254.950-250.800 to No. 4 Fairmont State at the Felix Event Center.

Notes
- The Vikings are now 1-1 all-time in the NCATA national quarterfinals, with both matchups coming against Fairmont State
- Augustana started from behind after getting outscored in both compulsory and acro. 
- In the pyramid, the Vikings outscored the Fighting Falcons in the synchronized heat to stick within a point.
- A strong open toss saw the Vikings score a 9.325 to open the second half highlighted the toss event
- The Vikings held a .125 advantage in the tumbling event, outsourcing FSU in the trio pass, quad pass and 6-element
- AU capped the night with a 79.450 team event to close another successful season. 

Augustana will shift its focus to Sunday for the NCATA Individual Event Finals
