SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 14-time defending NSIC Champion women's tennis team is set to compete in the NSIC Championships between Friday and Sunday at Huther Match Pointe. The Vikings secured a bye into the semifinals, where they will face either UMary or Minnesota Crookston on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Augustana comes into the weekend after capturing its 16th consecutive regular-season title after going 10-0 in NSIC play. The Vikings have won 178 straight NSIC matches while also winning their last 39 NSIC Tournament matches. Augustana holds a singles record of 87-18 this season and a doubles record of 44-13. 

Rhidaim Yang and Fernanda Sandoval currently ride a singles streak of 16 straight wins. Yang, Smilte Bakyte and Martina Sfilio all remain undefeated in singles play this season. 

Maria Fiacan, Mia Garcia and Sandoval have all earned NSIC weekly awards this season.

On Wednesday afternoon, Augustana was ranked second in the Central Region Rankings behind Washburn.
