SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana head football coach Jerry Olszewski has named Ryan McFadden as the team's offensive line coach.

McFadden arrives in Sioux Falls following a year as the offensive line coach at Henderson State. There, he coached a pair of first team all-conference offensive linemen, including an All-America First Team honoree.

His time at Henderson State came after a four-year stint as the offensive line coach, run game coordinator and recruiting coordinator for Western Colorado. He designed and implemented all facets of the run game and pass protection schemes and oversaw a class of 44 signees in his first season.

McFadden spent a season at Humboldt State where he served as the co-offensive coordinator and tight end coach, taking over the play calling duties after the third week of the season.

From 2015-17, McFadden coached the offensive line at Montana Tech in Butte, Montana. In his first season he had the nation's leading rusher. All three years he had a running back with more than 1,000 rushing yards, and one was named a two-time First Team All-American. As a team, they won two conference titles, leading to two national playoff appearances. He was also in charge of all social media for the football program.

In 2014, McFadden became the running back coach at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. In 2013, McFadden was the offensive line coach at Simon Fraser University where he coached the second overall selection in the 2014 CFL draft along with a first-team all-conference offensive lineman, a 1000-yard rusher and the team was second in the conference for sacks allowed.

McFadden was a graduate assistant at Wayne State College for three years prior to Simon Fraser where he coached the offensive line.

McFadden graduated in 2009 from Washington State University with a bachelor's degree in social sciences. In college, he was the assistant coach for Pullman High School (2007-2008). After graduating in 2009, McFadden became the offensive line coach at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California.
