Scouting the Enemy
Winona State fell to Minnesota Duluth after a low-scoring game resulting in a total of 14 points. The Warriors fell after the Bulldogs Drew Henson knocked down a 37-yard field goal to send Minnesota Duluth into the win column, 9-6. The Warriors were selected to finish ninth in the NSIC. Brian Curtin enters his second season at the helm with the Warriors.  

Winona State totaled only 189 total offensive yards, with 129 of those being passing yards. Quarterback Jackson Flottmeyer went 16-of-25, gathering 129 passing yards and one touchdown that found receiver Nolan Ginskey. Ginskey had seven receptions for 41 yards. Flottmeyer found himself at the top of the rushing yards with 30 total yards on six attempts. Noah Smith had five attempts for a total gain of 18 yards. 

Defensively for the Warriors, Patric Curtin led with 13 tackles. Winona State grabbed two sacks from Blake Schraufnagel and Jamison Klein against the Bulldogs. Brent Jeske added 11 tackles, along with Schraufnagel and Kevin Lewis adding eight tackles apiece. 

Weekend Rewind
After a dominant second and fourth quarter from the Vikings, they downed the Dragons 45-21. The Augustana offense secured 412 total yards, with 371 of those coming from the pass game. Gunnar Hensley threw for 27-38, throwing five touchdowns for 371 yards while taking two sacks. Breylon Blount ran for 26 total yards on 12 carries, securing one touchdown. DJ Page led in receiving yards with 174 on 13 receptions. Cody Oswald found 112 yards on five receptions for two touchdowns. Isaiah Lemmond, Klayton Sattler, and Blount all added one receiving touchdown apiece. 

The defense found their groove this week, capturing three interceptions from Ashton Toll, Brody Koberoski, and Damarrius Hammonds. Camron Maciejewski led in tackles with 10 while Toll added nine. Steel Schomaker secured seven tackles with one tackle for loss.

Gunnar Hensley was named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after throwing for a season-high five touchdowns in Augustana's 45-21 win over MSU Moorhead. Hensley went 27-of-38 on passing attempts, accumulating 371 yards.
