Augustana University Athletics

Tim Gerszewski enters his second year as sports information director at Augustana College in 2011-12.  Gerszewski oversees public and media relations efforts for the athletics department and serves as the webmaster for www.GoAugie.com.

Before joining the staff at Augustana, Gerszewski, a native of Mayville, N.D., spent two years as assistant athletic communications director at Southwest Minnesota State, where he served as the primary media contact for seven of the university's 11 athletics programs.  While at SMSU, Gerszewski helped design a basketball program that was named "Best in the Nation" by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

A member of CoSIDA, Gerszewski serves as the Central Region coordinator for the Daktronics All-America program for volleyball.

Prior to working at SMSU, Gerszewski worked as a news and sports photographer at KVRR-TV, the FOX affiliate in Fargo, N.D.

Gerszewski earned his bachelor's degree in mass communications from Minnesota State Moorhead in 2008 and his master's in sports leadership from SMSU in 2010.
