Cory Glieden

A native of Chaska, Minn., Glieden enters his second year with Augustana baseball in 2016.

During Glieden's first year with the Vikings, Augustana continued its success, compiling a 37-17 record in the NSIC, including a 25-9 mark in conference play.

The former Chaska High standout was named All-State at shortstop after his senior year. After high school, Glieden played at the University of Iowa for two seasons before transferring to Minnesota State. The Mavericks made it to the College World Series in both seasons Gliden was a member of, which included being on the national runner-up team in 2012.

Glieden bring previous coaching experience to the Vikings, having been the co-head coach for the U16 Minnesota Starz from 2011-13. He was also an assistant coach for the Chaska Legion team during 2010-12. The Chaska, Minn. native also volunteered as a coach for his former high school in 2013.

Glieden currently resides in Sioux Falls, S.D. and is pursuing his master’s degree in sports administration and leadership at Augustana.
