Jill Goodrich enters her second season with Augustana as a graduate assistant coach.  Hailing from Coralville, Iowa, Goodrich previously played for the Vikings from 2007-2010.

Goodrich helped guide Augustana to a 10-8-1 in 2013, the thrid time in school history the Vikings have had 10-or-more wins in a season. Augustana went 6-1 (.857) at home this year, best in team history.

The Coralville, Iowa native also was a key part of the development of a Viking offense that exploded in 2013. Augustana set new team records in points scored (113), assists (35), points per game (5.95), and assists per game (1.84). The Vikings 39 goals were second most in the team history.

The first-year coach played defender during her four seasons at Augustana, where the former Viking started almost every game she played in.  Goodrich earned All-NSIC third team honors during the 2009 season.  The former Augustana standout helped lead the Vikings to their only NCAA appearance in 2008 by going 13-6-1, a school-record for wins. Goodrich also was the first-ever Viking player selected to the Daktronic All-Central Region team. She was named to the second team.

Following her playing career, Goodrich spent last season as an assistant coach for the U13 girl’s team from Dakota Alliance Soccer Club.  She also holds a USSF National E coaching license.

Goodrich currently resides in Sioux Falls and is working on her master’s degree in sports administration and leadership.
