2017 (Freshman): Did not see any game action during the 2017 season. 

High School: Through his junior year on the diamond, Josiah has been a three-year starter and has earned three letters … As a junior Lovin pitched 51.1 innings with a record of 4-4 while striking out 67 batters and owning an ERA of 1.90 … During his sophomore year, Lovin pitched 65 innings compiling a record of 6-5 with 67 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.8 … That same year his high school was District Champs and his Legion team was Nebraska Legion Baseball State Qualifiers … As a freshman he pitched 17.1 innings with 26 strikeouts and posted a record of 2-2
 
Personal: Born March 19, 1998 in Minden, Neb. to Shannon and Connie Lovin; He plans on majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Theology and Religion. Lovin's career goals are to become a Software Developer
