Adam Kiefer

Adam Kiefer enters his second season as Augustana’s tight ends coach after spending two seasons at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.

In the 2019 season with Augustana, Kiefer oversaw the development of Anthony Karmazyn as he earned an honorable mention to the All-NSIC teams. The Vikings tallied a 9-3 record, tied the school record for wins in a season and qualified for the NCAA Division II Playoffs. Head coach Jerry Olszewski was named the NSIC Coach of the Year as Augustana completed a perfect season inside Kirkeby-Over Stadium with six wins. 

At Knox, Kiefer coached the linebackers for both season as well as leading the wide receivers group in the spring of 2019. 

Prior to Knox, Kiefer spent six seasons at Northern State University. During his time with the Wolves, Kiefer worked with tight ends, running backs, and quarterbacks. In the 2015 and 2016 seasons, he coached tight end Conner Doherty who achieved NSIC First Team All-Conference honors both years as well as the Don Hansen All-America Second Team award in 2015.

Kiefer graduated from Northern State University in 2015 with his Bachelor of Science in Sport Marketing and Administration and went on to gain his Master’s degree from NSU in Sport Performance and Leadership in 2017.

Kiefer is a native of Watertown, South Dakota.
