Chad Traver has served as Augustana's assistant strength and conditioning coordinator since 2010.
Traver came to Augustana after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where he was the head men's basketball and volleyball strength coach. He also served as the first assistant for football and was involved with the implementation of the strength and conditioning programs for all of the school's Olympic sports.
A native of Cherokee, Iowa, Traver was a four-year letterwinner in football and one-year letterwinner in wrestling at the University of Sioux Falls.
While at USF, Traver implemented and designed strength and speed programs for football, wrestling and volleyball. He also assisted at the Sanford Hospital in the Power Program and interned at Augustana.
Traver received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from USF in 2008. He earned his master's in applied exercise physiology from Louisiana-Monroe in 2010.
