High School: 2008 graduate of Alta Community High School in Iowa ... three-year starter ... captained team as senior ...  rushed for 2,408 career yards and scored 244 points during prep career ... also had 750 yards receiving and more than 3,500 all-purpose yards ... rushed for 1,154 yards and had 439 yards receiving as senior ... finished senior season with district-leading 22 touchdowns ... two-time all-district first team running back ...  named Iowa Newspaper Association All-State first team  ... earned Storm Lake Times All-Area first team and Player of the Year honors ... named all-state by Iowa Preps ... grabbed Des Moines Register All-State second team and Sioux City Journal All-Northwest third team honors ... played for Kevin Hammer ... ran leg on 2007 state champion 4X200 meter relay team and state runner-up 4X100 relay team ... earned all-conference second team recognition in baseball as junior.
