2023-2024:
Indoor: Ran a personal best in the 400m dash at the SDSU Indoor Classic with a time of 53.25.
Outdoor: Ran a 400m with a time of 53.96 at DSU Twilight, finishing 8th overall.
2022-2023:Â
Indoor: Ran a personal best in the 600m at the SDSU Holiday Open with a time of 1:25.69… ran a personal best in the 400m at the Mount Marty Opener with a time of 54.25… Ran a personal best in the 800m at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invite with a time of 2:07.89
Outdoor: Did not compete
High School: Graduated from Carson High School in May of 2022. In his freshman year, qualified as a member the 4x400 team representing Northern Nevada in the state meet. His sophomore year was canceled due to Covid-19 and his junior year was cut short. In his senior year, he was a four event Nevada state qualifier. He anchored the 4x8 team that placed first in the Northern Nevada Region, placed fourth in the 400m and third in the 800m and the State meet with times of 50.68 and 1:57.71.

Personal: Batien was born on December 8, 2003, in Carson City, Nevada to parents Richard and Nicole. He plans on majoring in athletic training and physical therapy while at Augustana.
