Rob Carlisle enters his second season as a graduate assistant coach at Augustana in 2013. Carlisle will coach defensive backs.
Carlisle coached Thomas Vanasek to All-NSIC Second Team honors in 2012. Vanasek led the team with 6.5 tackles for loss, ranked second with 85 tackles and shared the team-lead with three sacks.
Carlisle graduated with a degree in physical education from Grand Valley State University in 2009. He played for the Lakers in the 2010 NCAA Division II playoff match-up against Augustana. Carlisle was a two-time All-Great Area Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection at cornerback and was a two-time team captain for the Lakers.
Carlisle is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sports administration at Augustana.
