Emily McCourt enters her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Augustana University volleyball team for the 2016 season.
Emily spent her last two fall seasons as a Varsity Assistant at Totino Grace High School in Fridley, Minn. She started coaching club in 2012 at Kokoro Volleyball club as an assistant on the 15-1's. She then coached at Vital Volleyball Club assisting the 15-2's team in the 2013-2014 season, followed by head coaching the 15-3's team for the 2014-2015 season. Most recently she was the head coach of the 18-2's team at Minnesota Select.
From 2010-2013 Emily was a setter at Augsburg College in Minneapolis. She received All MIAC honors 3 years and All Region honors and All American honors her senior season. She is also currently the all-time assist record holder at Augsburg.
Emily graduated from Sun Prairie High School in Wisconsin in 2010, after being a 3 year varsity setter. She played club volleyball at Wisconsin Select, Capital Volleyball Academy, and Fusáo.
McCourt graduated from Augsburg College with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry while making it on the Dean’s List all four years. She currently resides in Sioux Falls and will be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sports Management and Leadership.
