#20 Dajon Newell (RB, 5-10, 185, So., Lakeville, Minn./North) rushed for 117 yards on 18 carries and matched a career-high with three rushing touchdowns in a 66-20 South Division win over Upper Iowa on Saturday. Newell broke the game open early with a 33-yard rushing touchdown on Augustana’s first drive of the game. On Augustana’s very next drive Newell found the end zone on a two-yard plunge for his second score of the game. The sophomore then scored on an eight-yard strike on the Vikings’ first drive of the second quarter putting Augustana in front with a commanding 35-0 lead. Newell helped the Vikings’ offense to a season-high 650 yards of total offense and its second highest team rushing total of the season with 315 yards in the contest. Newell now has six touchdowns on the season and is one score shy of matching his career high.
