Travis Beniak (Distance, Sr., Mazeppa, Minn./Zumbrota Mazeppa) is one-for-one in the 2013 season with his 3000-meter steeplechase win at the Vance Butler Memorial Invite. Beniak clocked a 9:28.83 edging out an unattached runner for the win. Beniak’s time narrowly missed the provisionally qualifying time, but showed well in his first attached race in over a year.
