TJ North was Augustana's highest finisher at the Super Region Three tournament this past weekend, notching a first-place finish at 125 pounds. North opened the day with a forfeit victory, followed by battling against Garrett Wangsness of Upper Iowa where North showed off his No. 1 ranking in style with a 6-0 decision. The Elk Point, S.D. native battled his way to the championship match against Minnesota State's Da'Wayne Robertson after winning a 7-4 decision over Tim Prescott of St. Cloud State to start off day two. North and Robertson battled in the championship match coming to a halt with a score of 1-1 to force overtime. North recorded a takedown with 20 seconds left to take the 125-pound title by a 3-1 victory earning his second consecutive NCAA Super Region Three Championship title, and a ticket for nationals.
