Sarah Kennedy, a sophomore from Bettendorf, Iowa, led the NSIC in home runs, RBI and total bases last week as the Vikings went 6-0 to open NSIC play. Kennedy batted .526 with 10 hits, including 4 doubles and 3 home runs in six games last week. She drove in 11 runs and compiled a 1.211 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage. She went 3-for-6 with a home run, two doubles and four RBI in a doubleheader sweep over Wayne State on Wednesday and 3-for-7 with a home run and four RBI in a sweep of U-Mary.

Against Minot State on Sunday, Kennedy finished the twinbill 4-for-6 with two doubles and a home run while driving in three runs. Since having her 23-game hit streak snapped on March 20, Kennedy has started a new streak, and has a hit in the last 11 straight games. She currently leads the NSIC with 15 doubles and a .515 batting average.
