Courtney Place will was named to the All-NSIC first team this week. This is Place's third time being named all-conference by the Northern Sun; She earned first team honors as a sophomore and last year she was named to the second team.

Place leads the Vikings in numerous offensive categories, including 394 kills (4.24 kill per set), 1126 total attacks, 450.5 points, and 36 service aces. Place is currently second on the team with a .221 hitting percentage. The Okabena, Minn. native has helped out on the defensive side as well recording 266 digs and 37 total blocks this season.

Equally impressive, Place tied the Augustana all-time record with eight (8) service aces in a win over Minot State on October 19. Another impressive performance came vs. No. 1 Concordia-St. Paul, when she notched a double-double racking up a season-high 24 kills and 14 digs. Place currently sits 4th all-time with 3.56 kills per set.
